Villas in Dubrovnik

For centuries, Dubrovnik has attracted numerous visitors.
In the beginning these were most frequently traders from the interior and neighboring countries, diplomats, pilgrims, explorers, travel writers and the curious.

The importance of taking care of the city's visitors was realized early on in the Dubrovnik Republic, and in the 14th century, the government of the Republic constructed a "hospitium" (overnight shelter) for travelers in the complex of the Sponza, near the Church of St. Nicholas.
In addition to this hospice, citizens began accepting travelers into their homes in the 14th century, and many homes had special rooms for these guests. The devastating earthquake of 1667 destroyed the old city and the surrounding settlements, but not the already well-established system of receiving and accommodating guests.

Dubrovnik and the surrounding is a perfect spot to spend a week before or after sailing. The combination of cruise with a  stay in villa is perhaps the most perfect way to round your holidays.
Combining exploration and relaxation or adventure with complete escape and tranquility truly can give you the best of both worlds.
